Read the Question
Most misses come from misreading, not from not knowing. Name what the question asks, name the rule that decides it, predict the answer, then see why each wrong option misses.
One free round a day. Unlimited with lifetime access.
Theory Matchup
Match the stage
Choose a theorist, then drag or tap the stage that fits each age and description.
Theory Matchup
Which theorist?
Read a stage description or clinical vignette, then identify the theorist and stage.
DSM Differentiator
Boundary cases
Separate commonly confused diagnoses by duration, exclusions, and impairment. Every reveal explains why the closest answer misses.
Distinguishing feature
Why the near-miss fails
Read the Question
Step 1 · What is it asking?
Step 2 · What decides it?
Step 3 · Predict before you look
Say your answer to yourself first. Then reveal the options.

Cheat sheet
The numbers the exam loves.
Duration criteria and psychotropic classes, drawn to scale. Skim before mocks; revisit the morning of the exam.
DSM-5-TR
Disorder timeframes
How long symptoms must last before a diagnosis fits. Bars are drawn to scale and grouped by duration band; a trailing arrow means “at least this long.”
Psychotropics
Medication quick reference
Social workers don’t prescribe — the exam tests whether you recognize side effects, spot red flags, and know when to refer back to the prescriber.

Study without an account
Accounts are optional. While signed out, your study progress, profile name, exam date, and look and theme preferences stay in this browser on this device. Progress and profile details are synced to the site's account database only after you sign in. Your look and theme preferences stay on this device. Clearing this site's browser data removes the device copy. If device storage is unavailable, progress lasts only in the current window.
What an account stores
When you create an account, the site's database stores your username, a securely hashed password (using Argon2id, never your readable password), an account identifier, and the account creation time. When you sign in, it also stores and syncs your study progress, including drill and practice-exam results, review schedules, plan completions, game statistics, and your optional profile name and exam date. Progress records include update times so changes can sync across devices. Account data stays in the database until you delete your account.
Existing signed-out progress merges into your account when you first sign in. Signing out stops syncing but keeps the offline copy on that device. People with access to the same browser can see that copy.
What we do not collect
The app does not ask for or collect an email address for accounts. It has no advertising, analytics, or tracking scripts. We do not sell your data. Because there is no email address on your account, there is no email password recovery.
Purchases
Lifetime access is sold by Privatae LLC and paid through Stripe. You enter your payment details on Stripe's own page; this site never receives your card number. Stripe collects the details it needs to process the payment and send your receipt, such as your email address and card information, under the Stripe Privacy Policy. When a payment succeeds, the site's database stores a purchase record: the Stripe checkout reference, the product, the amount, the currency, the time, and which account it unlocks. Your device also remembers that it has been unlocked.
If you delete your account, the purchase record is kept for financial and tax records but is no longer linked to any account.
Keeping accounts working
The account service temporarily holds your IP address and attempt times in memory to limit sign-up, login, and account-deletion attempts. It also keeps temporary session records in memory; these expire within 12 hours or when the service restarts. The browser keeps the session token in memory, not in its saved progress. The account service does not write request logs. Hosting infrastructure may separately process connection information to serve and protect the site.
If you use this app inside a Host, it can import earlier study settings from that Host's app storage. The Host manages those earlier copies separately.
Deleting your account
Sign in, open Settings using the gear button, and choose Delete account. Enter your username and current password to confirm. An internet connection is required. Once the service confirms deletion, your account row, hashed password, and all your progress and profile rows are removed from the site's database, and all account sessions are revoked. This cannot be undone.
Deletion does not remotely erase offline copies on your devices or earlier Host storage. Clear this site's browser data on each device to remove its offline copy; manage any earlier Host copies in that Host. We do not promise immediate removal from backups managed by the hosting provider.
Reporting a problem
The Contact link opens your email app. Nothing is sent automatically. If you send a report, your email provider and the recipient will receive your email address and whatever you include. Do not include your password or private client information.

LCSW Exam Prep is a study aid. Practice questions are original content written for this app; they are not official ASWB exam questions.
Independent from ASWB
This app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB).
Lifetime access
Most of the app is free. Lifetime access is a one-time purchase of $49 (US dollars) from Privatae LLC that unlocks the full exam simulation, timed sections, and unlimited Read the Question rounds on any device where you sign in to the account you used to buy it. It is not a subscription and never renews. "Lifetime" means for as long as this app is offered, including updates when the exam changes.
Because most of the app is free to use before you buy, all purchases are final and are not refundable. We will refund a duplicate or mistaken charge, or if the paid features do not work for you and we cannot fix the problem. Use the Contact link for either.
